But on Second Thought…

“A memory bear for someone who is grieving may not be for everyone.”

A thought that sounds good, but on second thought….

A memory bear made from your loved one’s clothing is there to hold and hug while you remember. The desire to hug is within each one of us. Hugging is an expression of affection. We hug to console and comfort someone; we hug to express our love for someone; we hug to know the feeling of the human touch and by the same reasons, we want to be hugged. To be comforted, to be loved, to be connected is why we hug.

When we lose someone we care about; someone we love; we can no longer hug them. We grieve their absence in our life. We wish to hear their voice; we wish we could hug them and hold them close, once more. We know we can’t, so we hug their picture, their clothing because that is how we express our affection.
