She hugged her bear. She had named him Buddy for he went with her everywhere she went. At night, he protected her from the imaginations of a child’s mind and by day he was a constant companion.
She soon grew up and became a woman, a wife and a mother. She would think of Buddy often and remember what a loyal friend he was to her all those years so long ago. She smiled as she tucked her little girl into bed for the night and as she turned the lights out, she lingered. She could hear her little girl’s voice as once her mom heard her voice saying, “Snuggle closer, Buddy…I love you.”
