There are many words that we use to talk about death and dying. We say that someone is gone, departed, passed on, died, left, etc. We talk about losing someone or that they have went on. These and other words and terms are what we say and hear when someone has died. Words are used to bring comfort.
Whatever way you choose to talk about the death of a loved one or friend, the pain…the emptiness remains the same. Words cannot change the situation, but they can bring comfort. However you say it, the choice is yours.
It is your grief…your pain…no one else’s. Let no one take that from you.
