Within twenty four hours, a new year will be here. A fresh beginning as we look at it. At the stroke of midnight, the blackboard is erased. New opportunities and chances are possible, even redemption and a new start. The New Year represents many things for many people.
Oh, if it were only as easy as erasing a blackboard. Each New Year does present freshness, but the year before and the year before that and the year before stay with us. This is as it should be for our future is nurtured and encouraged by our past.
We will look forward to this coming year and we will look back to each year before. Each of us will be one year older and hopefully, one year smarter. Our hopes and dreams will continue for this may be the year they come true.
We remember those we have said goodbye to in the years past and pray that there will be no goodbyes in the coming year. We hope for ourselves and others, God’s blessings in the coming year. Perhaps, we will cling to and appreciate those in our lives more than we have before.
I wish for each of us a very Happy and Blessed New Year.
