What Do You See?

What Do You See?

Cancer! Are you sure?

There must be a mistake.

Cancer happens to others, not me.

Expressions of the initial shock and denial of a dreaded diagnosis.

Cancer affects many people every hour of every day…

some survive; some do not.

What Do You See?

When you look at me, what do you see?

Do you see the cancer or do you see me?

Have I changed in your eyes because I have cancer?

I have cancer, but cancer doesn’t have me.

When you look at me, what do you see?

I hope…it’s me.
