The food, shelter and clothing we have are more than enough to be thankful for. Many have less. Empty places at the table remind us life is temporary. We remember those who have gone before and we are thankful. It is enough.
I received a call from a man who had just received his memory bears. He was crying…thanking me for the bears and telling me about his mother as he saw the bears that were created in her memory.
Today, I know he is remembering Thanksgivings past with his mother. Today, I know we all will recall that day each November when family got together. Today, as we remember those no longer with us, we can be thankful for the memories and for those still with us on this Thanksgiving Day.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving and may your memories linger always.
