The death of a spouse or child is devastating. It is total blackness with no sound. It is like life has cut you off. There is no feeling, only numbness. You are stuck in the moment and see no way out. This describes the loss of a loved one.
Each of us experience loss in our own way. Each of us go through our own pain and agony. Each of us wonder if there can ever be a tomorrow…if life will even go on. Each of us will go on, but life as we knew it has changed.
Grief stays with us and we adjust to loss so that we can go on living. Life seems empty at first, but eventually we adjust to a life without their physical presence. We now carry them in our hearts. For each of us that grieve, there is a tomorrow.
