Grieving is the process following the death of a loved one, saying goodbye, missing their presence and cherishing their memory. Grieving lasts a lifetime.
Greater than grieving is regretting. Once the last breath is taken, words and/or actions, good or bad, right or wrong are captured in time, with no opportunity to do or undo them. Greater than the pain of grieving is the eternal pain of regret.
We all will grieve, but we don’t have to live with regret. Our yesterdays consist of all the today’s of our lives. We all have the opportunity now to prevent regret; to do what we need to and to undo what we may eventually wish we had. Use the time wisely.
